It’s impossible for me to beleive that I have been back in Sydney almost 3 weeks now. On one hand, it feels like the Super Bowl was just the other day. On the other though, I have been so busy since my return that it feels like I didn’t take a break at all. Where does the time go?
My first weekend back was like being in Disneyland, it was soooo great to see my wonderful little family again. I think Kel was happy to have an extra set of hands around the house and the boys were happy to get a gift or two from their Dad. As all kids are when their parent(s) come back from vacation. The ensuing two weeks or so have been absolutely flat-out though. You know, the sorts of days where you wonder what the heck is going on in your life! I guess that has to do with the combination of returning from what was a whirlwind trip, completing my website updates and jumping straight back into the deep-end at work.
As a result, for the first time in my life I find myself nodding off much earlier than I ever have. Ha! It’s either that or I’m just getting older and life itself its starting to catch up with me!!! Either way, I’m glad to say that with the posting of my last video and with this one bringing my updates, up-to-date, I can finally sit back and consider just what a crazy ride these last few weeks have been.Posted in: Other,
G’day, introducing my final Super Bowl XLV video..... (sad face), documenting my journey from Green Bay back to sunny Sydney Australia. I’m not sure why it took so darn long to put together but I’ve got to say I’m relieved it finally is. At least now I can get back to regular text and picture updates..... they’re easy!
The format this time is a little different, I’ve thrown myself in between some of the clips by way of an introduction, or catch-up, depending on how you view it. It seemed that in some cases, there was quite a gap between videos. This, I must say, was my best attempt to piece it all together!
Hope you enjoy it… (on the ‘read more’ link)Posted in: Other,
What a hair-brained idea it was. Get out of bed and book a flight to Dallas ‘cause the Packers have just beaten the Bears. Get to Dallas and trapse around town trying to find a ticket to the Super Bowl. Get into the Super Bowl and watch the Packers win. Get back to the hotel and book a flight to Milwaukee. Fly into Milwaukee and pick up a hire-car for the drive to Green Bay. Attend the ‘Return to Titletown’ parade on Tuesday Feb 8th 2011.

Because this post is a week and a half late I’ll re-set the scene. It’s Wednesday afternoon and though I don’t recall the exact speed limit on the 43S from Green Bay to Milwaukee (I’m pretty sure it was 65Mph) what I do recall is setting my cruise control for just a few miles per hour higher than that and not looking back. The reason I didn’t look back was I was still trying to convince myself that I had time to get to the Packer Pro Shop at Lambeau Field. Fact is, after shopping with Tom, I knew I didn’t have any time whatsoever.Posted in: Other,
Before I start, you’ll have to excuse the pictures on this post, I was literally that pushed for time once the shopping started that I barely thought about taking photos. (I mean look at that shocker to start with! It does show you that it’s 3F at 1030 in the morning though!) Anyway, back to business.....
As unfortunate as this might seem, I literally had 24 hours in Green Bay and that was it. There wasn’t even enough time for me to collect the newspapers before I left. Though I would loved to have stayed alot longer and catch up with all of the people that I would have loved to have caught up with there were a few reasons why I couldn’t.Posted in: Other,
