And We’re Home

I am happy to report to all and sundry that we are home, safe and sound.
I’m writing this from the living room of Kelly’s parents home on the other side of world (for most readers at least) at 1227am Monday morning. Can you believe it, we are actually back on the other side of the world? I certainly can’t.

Still in LA

Just a quick update today for the last few days.
Monday - we did a live interview with “Sunrise”, a nationwide morning program back home, similar to “Good Morning America”. After that we played it pretty easy knowing that we’d see a few things Tuesday before our flight home in the evening. (The picture is Kelly and Ben at an outdoor mall called Century City. It was very cool and that’s without me telling you about the sorts of cars they were parking in valet.)

Well isn’t LA different to Green Bay?
Kelly and I had planned to use our stopover as a way of acclimatising ourselves to the warm weather and the big city life before we got back to our own warm weather and big city life. So far the experience has been a big slap in the face.

The Way to LA

We made it. After many trials, a very long last night and a very long day today, we made it.
Last night we stayed with our friends Tari and Rob seeing as the apartment is but a distant memory now. Plus, it made getting to the airport alot easier this morning and it meant that we could enjoy one last night with them and our friends Tom, Kathy and their kids Tyler and Katie. Whilst it was a whole lot of fun, it signalled the end in a way which was sad.

And We’re Off
Despite having absolutely no time whatsoever to even contemplate entering something this morning I wanted to so here I am.
Just a quick note to say that we’re off in a couple of hours and the next time you hear from us we’ll be somewhere in LA. Wow. I can’t beleive that after 20 years of living, thinking and dreaming Green Bay it’s time to leave! It will be nice to get home having said that though.
