Brett Retires

imageWho says i can’t keep up with what’s going on all the way down here?

It’s 2 ‘o’ clock in the morning (12 minutes past in fact) and I was quietly working away on my book when I thought I’d check my email to see if anything exciting was happening. Holy crap, I said to myself as I saw the first email from Carol (thanks Carol). It was a link to the Fox Sports page that announced Brett’s retirement. By the time I had digested it all I went back to my email to see that Tari, known to most these days as “Tezza” and Cheryl had let me know aswell. 3 emails in the space of 6 minutes, this must be big news?

Last Week’s Photo Album

Monday, March 03, 2008

imageWhere oh where does the time go? It’s been that long since my last post that I don’t even know where to begin. Perhaps i could start with all of the time we have been spending at the beach.....nah.....that wouldn’t very nice now would it?

Truth be known I did have an entry ready to go but then, thanks to my waiting for the new month of internet allowance to begin, 4 more days past so I figured I’d put them altogether.

Perhaps the most consuming part of the last 2 weeks has been the sickness that has gone around. Touch wood I’ve escaped it so far but at some point Kelly, her Mum, Ben and Luc have all had the flu. For the most part they all still have it which has made this one interesting house I can tell you. Also, just as the sickness was starting its rounds, Kel had her wisdom teeth out as mentioned in my last post. The poor girl was incoherent when she got home but I’m happy to say that the pain has now passed.

Dial Up

Thursday, February 28, 2008

Morning. Hoping all’s well in your neck of the woods.....

I just wanted to post a little something to let you know that my last update was written 2 days ago. It’s almost impossible to post it on a dial up connection though, thanks to our limit being exceeded for the month. Waiting for the pages to open takes forever and that doesn’t include the loading of any pictures yet.....

Our real connection will be restored on Saturday and with it will come cable speeds again. I’m sorry to say it but i have to wait until then to put it up. I’ll go insane otherwise.

Just briefly, the weather has been incredible here and the boys have loved playing outside in their pool. Kelly had her teeth pulled 2 days ago and is still feeling the effects of a terribly sore mouth and I am trying to do 101 things at once as always. Not too disimilar from my everyday life before all of this started i guess.

Will load the full write up on the 1st.

Have fun,

A Week in Sydney

Thursday, February 21, 2008

imageG’day! Long lost Aussie Wayne here. I bet you thought I’d fallen off the face of the earth?

First of all, before I get started, I want to send out an apology for taking so long to post again. I promised there’d be a new entry every Monday morning (US time) but these last few days have been completely nonstop. Who would have thought that flying halfway across the world, unpacking a ton of bags, doing our best to settle back in and take care of everything that has piled up whilst we were away would have been so time consuming? I certainly didn’t.

Also, you’ll have to excuse the lack of photos this week. We’re on dial up until the end of the mointh because our internet allowance has been used up and loading pics takes forever.....it’s very frustrating.
