I often pinch myself, wondering if in fact we are really here. I’m driving a V8 Dodge Truck. We’re about to move into our own apartment. We are members of both the YMCA and the Brown County District Library. We have been here for almost 5 weeks.
After getting the truck yesterday we picked up our apartment keys today. How nice it’ll be to make a home for ourselves. To “live” in Green Bay. We thought we were happy here in the hotel and let me tell, we absolutely are but spreading our wings toward this new horizon is just so exciting.

We were offered the use of our friend’s truck for the few months that we are here and up until today we hadn’t taken it. Not because we didn’t want it, more because I had to familiarise myself with the roads, the rules and everything else I needed to know. Particularly seeing as think is an absolute monster of a vehicle.
I’ve barely commented on the weather since being here because for the most part it’s been really nice. Today though it feels like the cold is coming. I took Ben to the YMCA as we do every Wednesday now and there is a definite chill in the air. I know that it is going to get a whole lot worse but it kind of surprised me this morning.
Our new apartment, a day of shopping and some time alone for two very worn out parents.
Something I haven’t mentioned over the last week or so of posts is that one of our dear friends Kathy was kind enough to keep an eye out for an apartment for us. We didn’t ask, it was just mentioned once one had been found.

Talk about hype. The Packers vs. the Bears at Lambeau Field, under lights, in front of a nationally televised audience. I thought there was passion last week against the Vikings. I can say now that’s only because I hadn’t experienced this week yet. Oh what a difference 7 days can make.
