imageThankfully I didn’t have a whole lot of time to dwell on the loss last night. By the time I got home, spent 40 minutes undressing and checked online to see what was happening with the site, I hit the hay for a good night’s sleep.

I did ponder what might have been of course. I’m sure we all did at some point. The thing that stayed with me for the most part before my eyes got the better of me, was what everybody in this town, us included, was going to do now. A loss like that affects so many people in so many different ways.

NFC Championship Game

Monday, January 21, 2008

imageWhat can you say about a day like today? Seriously. I’ve been trying to put it into words all night long. It was an abrupt finish to a season that most hoped would never end. It was a sad night as we watched the opportunities slip through our fingers. It was alot of things to alot of people.

My good friend Don, when talking to Giants fans at Curly’s after the game, put it very nicely I thought. When they commented on how well he was taking the loss he replied “You need to accept the losses for what they are and move on. Without the taste of defeat, the taste of winning wouldn’t be so sweet”. I know, I know, we still want to win every single game we play but deep down we know it’s true. Won’t we remember this game more than ever if we do go all the way next year? I think so.

The Signs of Green Bay

Sunday, January 20, 2008

imageCounting my lucky stars I can’t help recalling last Sunday when Tony Romo threw the pass that sent the NFC Championship game back to Titletown. If it weren’t for that, we’d, or I at the very least, would be somewhere on our way to Texas right now.

I’ve been very reflective over the last few days. How can you not when a series of events like those that unfolded this week happens with no thanks to anything you could have done to contribute? The fact that we were altogether, as busy as I was, was the most important thing that has come as a result of that loss by the Cowboys. I’m very thankful for that, even if I can’t get Ben of the computer anymore! Thanks nickjr.com.
