In what seems a continuation of yesterdays entry, today was every bit as crazy. I interviewed with Jonathon Brandmeier in Chicago at 630 then I was off to Lambeau Field to meet with Gene Meuller, John Jagler and the voice of the Green Bay Packers, Wayne Larivee of 620WTMJ. I was supposed to talk to these guys a little earlier than I did but they ran overtime with a gentleman by the name of Bob Harlan? I know that name rings a bell for some reason?
Our morning started with a trip down to the Fox11 studios to be guests on Good Day Wisconsin. This was interesting. We had done alot of different interviews in the past but never one “live to air” with the boys on our laps. Isn’t the greatest show business advice never to work with children or animals?
Under the circumstances they were very good. Until the cameras started rolling of course. I’m only kidding, they were very good, Ben especially ‘cause he knew there was a cup of warm chocolate waiting for him to finish once we were done.
Posted in: Living in Green Bay,Has this week been hectic or what? I’m beginning to think that a weekly blog would have been a better idea than a daily one. OK, that’s not true. With the way things have transpired this week though we’ve been left with little time to do anything, much less keep a regular routine.
That was until today. Today it was head down and bum up as I worked all day and night in an effort to catch up.
Posted in: Living in Green Bay,I was hoping that this morning would prove 3rd time lucky in the case of my trying to help shovel at Lambeau Field. This was always very high on my list of must do things so already missing out a few times made me a little shaky come this time of year.
My first attempt, on the 5th of December was thwarted by being so far behind on the site that I decided to stay home and work a little before I went out. The call was for volunteers to get there at 8am. I arrived after lunch and was laughed at when I asked if they were still working inside.
Posted in: Living in Green Bay,I spoke to a mate of mine, Cade, in Dallas last night about the Cowboys loss. I met him when I was there in Week 13 when he offered Don and I his last Brats for the evening. For those that have been following from the beginning you may recall me writing about it back then. He and his buddies were great guys that looked after us well as we spoke all things football, from east coast to west.
