Shoveling Lambeau

I was hoping that this morning would prove 3rd time lucky in the case of my trying to help shovel at Lambeau Field. This was always very high on my list of must do things so already missing out a few times made me a little shaky come this time of year.
My first attempt, on the 5th of December was thwarted by being so far behind on the site that I decided to stay home and work a little before I went out. The call was for volunteers to get there at 8am. I arrived after lunch and was laughed at when I asked if they were still working inside.

I spoke to a mate of mine, Cade, in Dallas last night about the Cowboys loss. I met him when I was there in Week 13 when he offered Don and I his last Brats for the evening. For those that have been following from the beginning you may recall me writing about it back then. He and his buddies were great guys that looked after us well as we spoke all things football, from east coast to west.

So I don’t know if I even need to say this but I didn’t sleep much last night. Nancy and I walked to our place from the Steakhouse, I drove her home and got back around 11pm. I was kind of wide eyed as I contemplated the game I had just attended. It was magical to say the least. The pictures flying all around the internet and via email put paid to the idea that it was one of the classics.

I mentioned in my pre-game post that a friend of mine, with his buddies, was partying at the Steakhouse before the game and I was lucky enough to join them. The call I made, after we had started on our way home, was to him to see if he was still out on the town. Owning the infamous “Packer Limo” I must admit I kind of figured he would be.

Div. Playoff 3/3 - Post
Nancy and I hung out for as long as we could at the stadium tonight. There was no rush for either of us as I contemplated what could easily be my last few minutes inside the Frozen Tundra - for this trip at least. After time had expired and our neighbours had all began leaving, I stood at my seat and stared for what seemed like forever.
