Friend or Foe # 1 - The Internet

Most of this week has been taken by the sorting of flights and accommodation. You’d be surprised how difficult it is to arrange 115 consecutive nights accommodation in a town that you have never been to with hotels you have never seen on street names you have never heard. OK, obviously that is a difficult thing to do.
This week, despite my deep advocacy for the Internet I have learned that it isn’t the “be all and end of all” of information as it is often cracked up to be. Websites are funny in that they are only as good as the information uploaded to them and I am learning through this experience that in alot of cases, that isn’t much. For the little things in life, that doesn’t pose a problem. Take this site for example, a few pics, a little text and with any luck a story that you can follow. When however, you want to see the inside of a suite you are about to ship your family to for the next 5 months, an LCD screen and keyboard don’t quite offer the experience you require.
