Kids on the Land

We left the farm about 7pm last night. That was after arriving home to two little boys so full of excitement their faces were red like the jumpers we were wearing. They had been playing, running and jumping all day long. It’s amazing what the fresh air, a swing set and acres of soft green grass can do for little legs.
This really was a case of “a picture tells 1000 words”:
Our host Dean took Ben and his little ones out on the back of his little four wheeler, all around the perimeter of their land. Yes, that’s them in the middle, way in the distance.
That was followed by some time feeding the horses,
climbing the hay bails (chasing the poor cat) and
pretending to mow the lawns.
I wasn’t really looking forward to the drive home as trips like that are always better with the countryside to look at. Having said that, when the sun goes to sleep so too do our boys and the lack of sightseeing aside, that’s just as good.
Today was a quiet day as we recovered from all of the above (game included). We did however meet up with some friends for an afternoon of shooting hoops and playing in tree houses. That was followed by one of the nicest home cooked meals we’ve had since being here. Kelly has made some delicious meals in our new kitchen but this was ocean fresh seafood, just like at home and we were very lucky to indulge in such a lavish dinner.

Hi Wayne, I love your story what a great adventure for you and your family.I love the attitude that you and Kellie have.We only get 1 shot at life, there are no second chances. Keep living your dream and have no regrets in life. You owe it to yourself and your family. At the completion of your adventure and on your return to Sydney you will then be content and satisfied that you gave it your best shot. You have a beutiful wife and teriffic children who love you and support you, this is all the inspiration you need in life. Good Luck.Ps I must also advise you I have had the pleasure of working with your lovely wife.
