The toughest loss of the season and a sad way to end a crazy 5 months. It’s been a wonderful ride though.

Wayne .. it was a great run.  Ah, the carrot dangling in front of us ... then the balloon popped.

Remember when you thought it was cold at 40 and 50 degrees?  LOL

Hey Wayne,

I read about your journey at the beginning of the season. What a story! Thought of you often during the season, especially as it became so magical.

I was at the Kansas City and Detroit (in GB) games as well as both playoff games. Seattle was a game that will be remembered for many years!

Just wanted you to know that when I entered the essay contest that was won by Sister Sean-Marie, my final line was that I deserved to win because I would have you go out there instead of me. Thought I had a decent chance, but wasn’t even a finalist. The Sister did win both coin tosses, so I guess she was pretty special too.

Best of luck to you and Kelly and the kids! If I ever get to Sydney, I will look you up.

If the Packers get to the championship game again next season, I hope to be there and I’m sure we can start a fund drive to get you back.

Thanks for bringing the Pack some Aussie luck,

Jay (from the south shore of Lake Superior)

PS: Write a book! It’ll sell well in the Packer Pro Shop.

Thanks for the great perspective.  Sometime we all forget it is a game as we put so much stock in our team and our emotions of the day go the way of the outcome of the game.  It felt like a kick in the stomach and even worse below the belt when we lost.  We will pick ourselves up this week and press forward to next season.  I wanted to thank you for giving us all a fresh perspective on how lucky we are to live in Wisconsin and get to follow the Pack.  May you and Kelly’s and the boys have a safe trip home to SYD and a great life and future ahead.  I want a signed copy of that book 1st edition - make it 2 copies one for me and one to finance my retirement on Ebay because it will be so hot an item.  Best Regards Mate and thanks for the memories - Brazoo

For a team that wasn’t expected to win more than 8 games I’d say the Pack did rather well this year wouldn’t you? They gave all of us a fun ride as well as you giving many of us a fun blog to read and making this season even more special. I just can’t wait till next season though, these young kids on this team just got educated and do expect them to go all the way in Super Bowl XLIII !!!

Thanks Wayne and Kelly for entertaining us!

GO PACK GO!!!

As always Wayne I loved the pre-game footage including the tailgating stuff. Really liked the scene when Kelly is talking over your left shoulder and then reappears over your right. Nice ...

Well as sad as the end was and despite those footy gods doing almost everything in their power to get us over the line, it just wasn’t meant to be. Bitter sweet end to a tremendous season.

Next season?? Well I reckon like the young West Coast Eagles side of 2005 who bounced back from that 4 point loss in the Grand Final against the Sydney Swans to a one point win the following season, our guys will be back in force in September. Plenty more to look forward to this next season than we had at the beginning of this one that’s for sure.

Safe journey home.

Hell yeah, it was a great ride...Brett proved he still has it..but made some bad plays at the end. This last season was amazing...and the superbowl was extremely exciting.
